Caroline Manzo Announced a Radical Diet Change — But Daughter Lauren Put Her on Blast for Cheating

The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum is only human after all...

By Jenny Berg

We noticed that Caroline Manzo has been swapping out her pasta for cauliflower lately, but we didn't realize that wasn't the only tweak The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum has made to her diet. Though the Jersey 'Wives past and present love their meatballs and "gravy," Caroline is putting meat aside for the moment and embracing a more plant-based lifestyle.

The Manzo'd With Children matriarch made the announcement in an Instagram post on February 5. Showing a photo of two vegetarian cookbooks, Vegetable Love and The Vegetable Butcher, Caroline wrote, "I’ve decided to try the vegetarian lifestyle. It’s been about one month with no meat, no bread, no pasta, no cakes, no cookies, no crackers. Just basically eating fruits and vegetables with some grains and beans here and there. For those in the same boat, these two recipe books are pretty good. Just thought I’d share."

So she's not only cutting out meat — she's going low-carb, too. That's some commitment!

But, exactly how committed is Caroline to her new lifestyle? Leave it to her daughter to tell the whole world the truth. In the comments under Caroline's post, Lauren Manzo kindly chimed in with: "You had prosciutto with melon the other day bitch!" Caroline's response? "Let me live!" We mean, she has a point! She already gave up pasta, for Pete's sake.
